Newton Man Charged With Assaulting Pregnant Female

25-year-old Phillip Isaiah Danner Jr of Newton was arrested Thursday by Conover Police Officers. He was charged with one felony count of assault on a pregnant female and jailed in the Catawba County Detention Center under no bond.

Danner made a court appearance on Friday and is no longer listed as an inmate.
