New Development In Case Of Taylorsville Couple Charged With Murder

A new development in the saga of Tangela and Eric Parker of Taylorsville.

The Parkers are charged in connection to the 2021 shooting death of Michelle Marlow of Hickory. Marlow allegedly was shot and killed by Tangela Parker at TCS Designs in Hickory where the Parkers and Marlow were employed.

Hickory Police say Tangela Parker arrived at work on January 13th, 2021, with a gun and shot and killed Marlow. She was last seen fleeing the company parking lot in a SUV with her husband Eric Parker. The couple evaded a nation-wide search for six months before being captured by federal agents in Arizona.

Marlow’s husband, Justin Marlow, is suing Eric Parker, TCS Designs’ President Jobie G. Redmond and plant manager Jeff McKinney. The lawsuit was filed on February 21st. A civil suit against Tangela Parker has already been filed.

Eric Parker was in Catawba County Court on Tuesday and Tangela Parker was in court on Wednesday. Both cases were continued to May 16th.

Tangela Parker is charged with first-degree murder and remains in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $250,000. Eric Parker is charged with accessory after the fact and being held under a bond of $125,000.
