Burke County Officials are confirming multiple deaths as result of a Sunday fire.
An exact location has not been detailed other than north of Morganton in the Antioch Community.
Emergency officials have confirmed “multiple deaths.” A number of dogs at the scene survived the fire and were handed over to Burke County Animal Services.
The Burke County Fire Marshal’s Office, Burke County Sheriff’s Office, and Burke County Department of Emergency Services are investigating the fire. Additional assistance has been requested from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
Officials expect more information to be released on Monday.
