A woman is facing multiple drug charges after Morganton Police say she was found unconscious at a gas pump early Thursday morning.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., Morganton Public Safety Officers responded after employees reported a vehicle had been sitting at a pump for about an hour. When officers checked the car, they found the driver, identified as 45-year-old Casey Calhoun Shady, Enola RD, Morganton, passed-out behind the wheel.

After waking her, officers discovered she had an active arrest order and took her into custody without incident. A search revealed several baggies containing a white powdery substance, later confirmed as fentanyl, along with psilocybin mushrooms and drug paraphernalia.

In total, approximately 5.5 grams of fentanyl were seized. Shady now faces multiple felony charges and was given a $25,000 secured bond. She was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
