Morganton Man Held Without Bond In Alexander County Jail

Charles David Gilmore Jr, age 34 of Morganton, is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. He was scheduled for a court appearance on Monday in Alexander County District Court on charges of felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling or place for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His next court date in Taylorsville is not listed.

Gilmore was arrested in June following a vehicle chase in Burke County. He has a long list of charges pending in Catawba, Burke and Iredell Counties. Gilmore is scheduled for a court appearance today in Iredell County for felony probation violation, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
