Morganton Man Charged With Sexual Exploitation Of Minor

38-year-old Scotty Wade Bolick of Morganton was arrested Thursday (January 22) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. After a coordinated and thorough investigation with various local and state agencies, a Morganton man was arrested without incident early Thursday morning for an offense against a minor.

In addition to Public Safety, the investigation included the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Valdese Police Department, and Burke County EMS. Bolick was incarcerated in the Burke County Jail under no bond. A Friday (January 23) court date was scheduled. This is still an ongoing investigation by the Morganton Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division.
