Morganton Man Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges By Hickory Police

Hickory Police arrested 39-year old James Drew Ballard of Morganton on Tuesday and charged him with felony drug offenses.

He’s charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.

Ballard is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $200,000 and is scheduled to make a Newton court appearance today.
