More charges have been filed in connection to a weekend home invasion in Alexander County.
On Tuesday, 47-year old Christopher Lee Jarvis was charged with felony discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He has been released on an unsecured bond of $100,000. Jarvis is the resident of a home on Gravel Hill Road that was the scene of the incident Saturday evening. Jarvis is charged with firing multiple shots at a vehicle occupied by three teenage males. The vehicle was struck at least three times according to Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman.As reported earlier, the three teens went to the home for the purpose of conducting a drug deal. They were confronted by a 17-year old male who lived at the residence and Jarvis. A half-dozen shell casings were retrieved from the scene. The teens were able to leave the area but were taken into custody a short time later on Crowson Road which is off Rink Dam Road.
18-year old Zachariah Canterbury of Taylorsville is charged with felony common law robbery, and felony 1st degree burglary. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $100,000. 18-year old Christopher Dalton Whorley of Seminole, Florida is charged with felony common law robbery and felony 1st degree burglary. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $100,000.The third teen who entered the home, a 17-year old, is expected to face charges as is the resident teen according to Major Jason Moore of the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
