According to a report, Mitchell Gold Bob + Bob Williams Furniture filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in Federal Court last Wednesday.
The Taylorsville based company closed on August 25th.
15 unsecured creditors are owed more than $8.6 million according to a report on the Furniture Today website.
Atlanta-based Transportation Insight, a logistics company, is owed $3.92 million. Nahan Printing is No. 2 on the list and is owed $554,589.84.
Nearly 500 employees were impacted by the closure in Alexander County.
Mitchell Gold and partner Bob Williams founded the company in 1989 in Taylorsville.
