McDowell County Counselor Charged With Felony Sex Offense

Marion: The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a McDowell County High School teacher and coach.

Jessica Patrick Finley is listed as a guidance counselor and volleyball coach at McDowell County High School. She has been charged with felony statutory sex act with a student and felony sex offense with a child under the age of 15. The victim is reported to be 14 years old.

Finley has resigned her position with McDowell County Schools.

The NC State Bureau of investigation is assisting the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office and McDowell County Schools.
