Mans Pleads Guilty To Statutory Rape In Burke County

A man from Maggie Valley has entered a guilty plea to two counts of statutory rape of a person who is 15 years old or younger in Burke County Superior Court.

Joshua Brier Nations, age 29, will serve two consecutive terms of 166 to 260 months in the North Carolina Division of Prisons.

On May 2, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile victim. Nations voluntarily surrendered to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office on May 6, 2025.
