A Morganton man was placed in custody under a $500,000 bond on Wednesday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. 41-year old Erik Bradley Brittain was served failure to appear warrants for multiple counts of felony trafficking opium or heroin, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury and flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a March 28th court date scheduled.
