Garon Christopher Bean, age 27 of Newton was arrested on Sunday on a pair of charges. Bean, formerly a Taylorsville resident is charged with two probation violations for uttering a forged instrument, and obtaining property by false pretense. Bean was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $8,500. He is scheduled to appear in Catawba County Court on Wednesday, January 3rd.
