A Yadkin County man died in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 421 in Wilkesboro Monday afternoon.
67-year old Dennis Stuart Myers of Hamptonville died when the SUV he was operating went off the four-lane highway, down an embankment and crashed into an unoccupied brick residence.
The investigation has been turned over to the joint Wilkesboro-North Wilkesboro Police traffic reconstruction team.
The home was not occupied as it was under renovations.
