A man is being held under a $500,000 bond after his arrest overnight. 50 year old Aparicio Antonio Hernandez was taken into custody by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of second degree forced sexual offense and interfering with emergency communications. No details of the incident have been released. Hernandez is scheduled to appear before a judge today in Newton.
