A Hickory man is being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Center after his arrest Sunday morning. Tyree Dorian Rhinehardt, age 29, was taken into custody by Newton Police. He’s charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault on a female, and second-degree kidnapping. Rhinehardt is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Monday in Catawba County District Court.
