Maiden Man Wanted In Alexander County Taken Into Custody

A Maiden man wanted on charges in Alexander County has been arrested.

37-year-old Michael Todd Whitener, Jr. was taken into custody by Maiden Police Officers on Friday. Whitener was wanted on 2023 charges in Alexander County for felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, driving with license revoked and possession of schedule II controlled substance. As of earlier today, Whitener remains in the Catawba County Detention Center with bond set at $75,000. He is expected to transferred to Alexander County custody today.
