Maiden Man Facing Alexander County Charges

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 31-year old Matthew Jacob Bass of Maiden on Sunday. He was charged with driving with wanton disregard, driving with license revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bass is detained in the Alexander County Jail with bond set at $7,500. A March 17th court date is scheduled in Taylorville.

Bass was released from prison in 2024 after serving 27 months on an Iredell County conviction for possession of schedule I and II controlled substances and possession of a firearm by a felon.
