Alexander County emergency responders participated in a drill Saturday morning that simulated a bus crash with multiple injuries. According to County Emergency Services Director Russell Greene, the exercise was in conjunction with Iredell Health System’s Family Care Center in Taylorsville.
Volunteers included members of the Alexander Central High School Beta Club, who served as victims. Numerous other community minded citizens also took part ranging in age from 5 to 88. Multiple trauma-related scenarios were conducted giving local emergency personnel an opportunity to participate in the drill.
Greene says the drill “provided some valuable training and experience.”
