Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in western Lincoln County. At 11:40 a.m. Monday (March 25) deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office responded to reports of an armed robbery at Dollar General at 8681 NC Highway 10.
Upon arrival deputies learned that two masked suspects entered the store armed with handguns. The suspects forced an employee of the store to open the cash registers so they could remove the money.
Similar incidents have been reported in Cleveland and Gaston Counties that authorities say may be related to Monday’s robbery.
