A Caldwell County woman was killed in a crash Wednesday. The deceased is 20-year-old Angelina Elizabeth Lanala Manuel of Lenoir.
Wednesday at approximately 5:00 a.m., the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Calico Road near Vantage Heights Circle in Caldwell County. A 2010 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Calico Road, crossed the centerline, ran off the road to the left, collided with a utility pole, and overturned.
The driver, Angelina Manuel, was not restrained by a seatbelt and was ejected. She passed away as a result of her injuries at the scene.
