Lenoir Man Held In Alexander County Jail

James Wesley Bare, age 35 of Lenoir, is being held in Alexander County custody. Bare is charged in Caldwell County with possession of a firearm by a felon. His bond is listed at $40,000 as he remains in the Alexander County Detention Center due to the overcrowding of the jail in Caldwell County.

Bare was found guilty in 2018 of felonious assault inflicting serious injury in Caldwell County. He served 25 months in prison for that crime.
