Lenoir Man Convicted Of Child-Sex Offenses

Caldwell County Sheriff Kevin H. Beane has announced that Christopher James Maple, 50, of Lenoir, was convicted on November 3, in Caldwell County Superior Court of Second-Degree Sexual Offense and Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child.

Maple, who was already a registered sex offender at the time of these offenses, was sentenced to serve between 120 and 204 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.

This case involved a collaborative investigative effort between the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Robins Nest Child Advocacy Center, the North Carolina State Crime Laboratory, and Assistant District Attorney J. Mathews.
