23-year-old Nauleage Johovah Amir Corpening of Lenoir was arrested Thursday by Newton Police. He faces charges that include statutory rape of a child 15-years-old or younger, two counts of indecent liberties with a child, statutory sex offense with a child 15-years-old or younger and solicitation of a child by computer. Corpening is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with bond set at $50,000. A Friday court appearance is scheduled.
