Lenoir Man Arrested After Being Added To Most Wanted List

A Lenoir man is in custody after being on the Burke County Most Wanted list for an hour.

On Friday, August 29th, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the whereabouts of Charles Barry Horton. Deputies contacted the Lenoir Police Department, who responded to 1007 SW Falcon Court, Apt. 502, in Lenoir. Horton was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.

Following his arrest, Horton was turned over to deputies with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office. He was then transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where he was served with outstanding warrants as well as a Domestic Violence Ex-Parte Order. He appeared before a judicial official on August 31, 2025 where he was given a $100,000.00 secured.
