Detectives with the Lenoir Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect. At about 9:13 this morning (March 13), Officers were dispatched to a robbery call at Truist Bank at 201 Mulberry Street in Lenoir.
Information and evidence gathered during the investigation indicated that one suspect entered the bank and passed a note to the teller, demanding an undisclosed amount of money. The note stated he possessed a weapon; however, no weapon was seen or displayed during the robbery. After the incident, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as a short, white male with green eyes, dressed in all back with a mask covering his face.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information concerning the incident or the suspects should call Caldwell County Crime Stoppers at 828-758-8300. Information received will be kept confidential and tips may be provided anonymously. Callers who provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
