The visiting Wildcats cruised over Alexander Central Friday night in Taylorsville.

Lake Norman scored with 7:58 in the 1st quarter after a 40 yard, 4 play drive following a short punt by the Cougars. The game was a back and series of punts as both defenses got the better of the offense.

The Wildcats converted a 3rd and 19 from the Cougar 29 with 21 seconds remaining in the half when QB Jackson Garlick hit Antonio Griffin for a touchdown. That play deflated the hopes for the Cougars.

Lake Norman would dominate the second half going up 37-0 before Alexander Central drove 80 yards in 9 plays capped by QB Tanner Moore scoring from the 1 yard line with 1:05 left in the game.

Lake Norman out gained the Cougars 348 to 138.

Garlick passed for 200 yards going 12-19 leading the Wildcats to a record of 4-0

ACHS drops their second in a row to go 2-2.
