Lake Norman Beats Alexander Central

Mooresville: Alexander Central saw their basketball season end Tuesday night at Lake Norman.

The Wildcats led 19-18 at the half but took control in the final two periods to advance. They forced the Lady Cougars to 14 turnovers. Alexander Central was able to hit only 7 of 16 free-throws.

Samantha Shehan led Lake Norman with 19 points , her twin sister Alexis Shehan added 12 points and a game high 11 rebounds.

Addie Jack led Alexander Central with 14 points including 4 of 5 from three-point range. Malayah Adams added 10.

With the win, Lake Norman (26-2) advances in the 4A West bracket and will host Charlotte Catholic on Friday.

ACHS concludes the season at 22-7.
