Lady Cougars Beat Mooresville !!!

Alexander Central 4 Mooresville 1

Mooresville: The Lady Cougars advance with a strong performance in the circle from Laney Wike and big three-run 5th inning.

Mooresville held a 1-0 lead when AC came to bat in the 5th. Alexander Central took advantage of an error and a wild pitch and plated three runs. They added another in the 7th.

Freshman Kyla Hamby continued her rampage at the plate going 3-4 with a run scored. Ava Chapman had a rbi as did Anna Jordan and Laney Russell.

Laney Wike allowed 7 hits and one run to earn the win.

The Lady Cougars (22-4) advance to the 4th round. They will travel to Weddington who beat Charlotte Catholic 10-0.

The Round III Alexander Central at Marvin Ridge Baseball game was postponed. It’s scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 pm
