Taylorsville: In a makeup game that was rained out Friday night, Alexander Central rolled over Ashe County. Macy Law pitched a 1-hit shutout with 9 strikeouts. Kayleigh Porter drove home 3 runs including a homer, Laney Wike went 2 of 3 with 3 rbi, Jenna Mason drove in a pair, and Kensley Davis was 2-3 with a long ball. The win moved Alexander Central to 15-1 for the season and 6-0 in Northwestern Conference action. Ashe County drop to 6-6 and 2-4.

Alexander Central 6 Piedmont 4
The Lady Cougars got off to a hot start. Klya Hamby and Kensley Davis drew walks setting-up a three-run blast by Jenna Mason in the first inning. Kayleigh Porter went 2-3 and drive-in two. Alyssa Chapman hit a solo homer. The visitors from Monroe got within 6-4 after six but could get no closer. Laney Wike went the distance for the win. AC is now 16-1 for the season.
