Boone: Coming off a mind-numbing loss on Thursday at Fred T Foard, the Lady Cougars showed some kick-back by walloping Watauga.
Freshman Ava Hamby and Hannah Chapman combined on a 1-hitter in the circle and AC pounded out 17 hits.
1B Jenna Mason was 4-4 with 2 rbi, Kensley Davis homered and drove-in 4 runs. Ava Hamby also homered, went 3-3 and plated 3 runs. Kyla Hamby went 3-4 and scored 3 runs.
The Lady Cougars are 14-6 and 6-2 in Northwestern Conference play.
West Wilkes is scheduled to visit Central Park on Saturday. Game time is 2pm.

AC scored 3 runs in the opening inning, added 6 in the third and put 5 on the board in the 6th.
Jude Carter was the mound winner.
Koa Mikeal went 3-4 with an rbi, he scored twice. Jude Carter, Graham Hoke, Maddis Reese, Braxton Lweis and Ty Matheson all drove in a pair.
The Blue and Gold are 19-2 and a perfect 8-0 in conference. The win clinches the Northwestern Conference regular season title for the Cougars !
