Lady Cougar Softball And Men’s Tennis Get Monday Wins

Alexander Central 9 Moorsville 7

Taylorsville: Alexander Central trailed 2-0 after the first inning, tied it in the second and put the game in the win column with seven runs in the fourth. After trailing 7-2, the visitors scored twice in the 5th and plated three more in the sixth to pull the game to within 9-7.

Kensley Davis was the hitting star for the Lady Cougars going 3-4 with 4 rbi. Kyla Hamby and Alyssa Chapman both had a pair of hits as well as knocking-in a run. Lyla Mayberry and Ava Hamby both collected a run-batted-in.

Ava Hamby got the win in relief and Hannah Chapman got the final 4 outs to collect a save. AC was guilty of 5 errors that led to 6 unearned runs !
