Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Make Drug Bust At Statesville Motel

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received information about illegal drugs being at the Masters Inn located at 702 Sullivan Road in Statesville.

The deputies went to the location where they met with Jacquelyn Michelle Moss, Ronald Shawn Griffith, and Zachary Tylor Hartness. After speaking to the three suspects, the deputies were able to search the room the suspects were occupying. Inside the room, the deputies located 38.08 grams of Heroin, 10.04 grams of Methamphetamine, and 118.84 grams of Marijuana. Numerous items of drug paraphernalia along with cash and a loaded pistol was found.

Jacquelyn Michelle Moss

Jacquelyn Michelle Moss, age 38 of Statesville, was charged with Felony Trafficking Opium or Heroin, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Sell a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Sell Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Sell a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling or Vehicle for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Moss was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a secured bond of $150,000 bond

Ronald Shawn Griffith

Ronald Shawn Griffith, age 46 of Statesville was charged with Felony Trafficking, Opium or Heroin, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Sell a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling or Vehicle for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. Griffith was issued a $200,000secured bond.

Zachary Tylor Hartness

Zachary Tylor Hartness, age 28 of Statesville, was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule Controlled Substance. Hartness was jailed under a secured bond of $5,000.
