A Statesville man died Saturday after his mower flipped into a pond off Elmwood Road.
43-year old Alfredo Quintero was pronounced dead at the scene according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim is said to have been mowing along a steep embankment when the mower rolled into the water.
Iredell County EMS, Iredell Rescue and the Cool Springs Fire Department all responded.
