Iredell County Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Man In Possession Of Child Sexual Abuse Material

In October, 2024, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected child pornography in the possession of an Iredell County resident.

The investigation identified the suspect as Shawn Philip Pulver, 37, of Cleveland, North Carolina. It was determined that the suspected child pornography was associated with a social media account on the platform “Kik.” Detectives executed search warrants for Pulver’s social media account, which confirmed the presence of multiple media files containing child sexual abuse material.

Based on the evidence gathered, Pulver was charged with 10 counts of Felony Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. On Friday, December 27, Pulver was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and held under $350,000 secured bond.

This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
