Iredell County Deputies Find Suspect Hiding In Pontoon Boat

According to Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell, on Saturday, March 7, a call was received by 911 requesting Deputies respond to a residence on Old Mocksville Road in Statesville for service.

While Deputies were on scene, they were advised that a subject had fled the area. A search of the property located the individual identified as Kimberly Ann Beasley, attempting to hide inside a pontoon boat in the backyard. She was detained.

During the investigation, it was discovered the individual had an outstanding fugitive warrant from Grayson County, Virginia. She was taken into custody on the fugitive warrant.

Detectives later obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. While searching the area where Beasley had been hiding, a purse containing multiple bags of methamphetamine was located.
As a result of the investigation, Beasley was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer.

Beasley was jailed under a secured bond of $30,000 for the local charges. She also received a $100,000 secured bond on the fugitive warrant from Virginia.
