Interstate 40 Work In Iredell County Means Lane Closures

STATESVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue resurfacing a section of Interstate 40 East from mile marker 146 to 150, as part of a $34.4 million contract to improve 20 miles of the highway between Conover and Statesville.

Weather permitting, lane closures will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Thursday night, Oct. 18, continuing through Nov. 15. Drivers will have a smoother riding surface when work is completed.
