Human remains discovered last Wednesday have been identified as 34-year-old Bradley Craig Nelson. Nelson was last seen on September 14, 2026. Nelson, a Hickory resident, was reported missing to the Hickory Police Department on September 16. Nelson’s next of kin have been notified. An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday (October 20).
Nelson’s remains were found in southeastern Catawba County near Catawba Valley Blvd. The cause and manner of death are pending. Authorities said Monday night (October 19) that foul play is not suspected.
