Alesha Ashley Kirby, age 40 of Smith LN in Hudson, was arrested on Thursday, October 18th by Taylorsville Police. She was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and was later found to be in possession of methamphetamine at the detention center. The contraband was reported to be hidden in a private area. Kirby was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on jail premises. She remains in custody without bond. An appearance is scheduled for today in Alexander County District Court.
