Home Destroyed By Fire Overnight In Alexander County

An Alexander County home was destroyed by fire overnight.

Around 9pm, Alexander County 911 received a call reporting a fire at a residence located at 1082 Wittenburg Road. Wittenburg, Bethlehem and Taylorsville Departments responded.

Fire Marshall Christopher Hicks say the structure was destroyed. Hicks says the home was occupied and the cause is yet to be determined.

No injuries were reported however a pet perished as result of the fire.
