Conover- On Sunday, May 24th, at approximately 12:24am, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol was requested to investigate a collision involving two Conover Police Officers and another vehicle.
Conover Police Department was conducting a license checking station on County Home Road in the city limits of Conover. A Ford Fusion was traveling North on County Home Road, failed to stop, and struck two officers in the roadway.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, a 17-year-old Juvenile female from Conover, was not injured.
The two officers were transported to Catawba Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time of the collision, emergency lights were activated on a patrol car while officers conducted the checking station.
Charges are pending on the juvenile.
