A Hiddenite man is being held under a large bond following his Friday arrest. The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 31-year-old Darren Curtis Nunnery of Ervin LN, in Hiddenite. He has been charged with 14 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and felony financial card theft. Nunnery remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond listed at $320,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled in Taylorsville.
