Hiddenite Man Facing Charges

Jeremy Lynn Benfield-Cooper, 48 of Hiddenite, was taken into custody on Tuesday for probation violation. He remains in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today with bond set at $5,000.

There are a number of previous charges awaiting trial for the suspect that include assault on a government official, resisting arrest, second-degree trespass and probation violation.
