Frye, at one time in 2023 had over 100 charges pending in Alexander, Iredell and Catawba Counties. His history with law enforcement goes back decades. Frye was free on bond when a judge revoked his bond. He remained in the Alexander County Detention Center until he was given a two-year suspended sentence in October, 2024 for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. A long list of other charges were dropped as result of the suspended sentence.
A 2022 charge in Alexander County remains pending for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and felony probation violation. That case is set for Alexander County Superior Court on January 6th.
