The 19-year old signed a four-year $24.8 million deal on Tuesday according to the team. The contract includes a guarantee of $12.8 million and an average annual salary of $7.1 million. He will make $6.26 million in his first NBA season.
Dillingham was chosen by the San Antonio Spurs with the No. 8 pick in the 2024 NBA draft on June 26 and then immediately traded to Minnesota. Dillingham played one season of college basketball for Kentucky averaging 15.2 points and 3.9 assists.
Dillingham grew up in the Mountain View area of Catawba County. He played for the Hickory YMCA, the Hickory Rec., Jacobs Fork Middle School and Lincolnton’s Combine Academy before leaving for Donda Academy in California at the end of his sophomore year.
