Hickory Man Gets 8 To 11 Years In Prison

Jeremy Scott Young, age 45 of Hickory, will serve a minimum 8 years in prison.

Young pleaded guilty to felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, possession of stolen goods, possession of stolen motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and obtaining property by false pretense during Catawba County Superior Court this week.

He will serve an active prison sentence of eight to 11 years for his conviction. The offenses involved multiple victims in Catawba and Burke counties in 2023.

Young has previous convictions for larceny of a motor vehicle in New Hanover County in June 2019, burglary and dealing in stolen property in Pasco County, Florida, in January 2013 and burglary conveyance unoccupied in Pinellas County, Florida, in January 2010.
