A man from Hickory has been charged with the rape of a child. 36 year old Randy Eugene Dula was taken into custody Sunday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to the rape charge, he faces counts of first degree sex offense with a child, indecent liberties with a child, and felony probation violation. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $180,000.
