The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year old Bobby Postel Baumgarner of Hickory on Saturday. He is charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Baumgarner is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $170,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled in Newton.
