Hickory Police arrested 60-year old Willie Duran Armstrong on Saturday. He was charged with felony hit and run, driving while impaired, driving with license revoked, center lane violation, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, and malicious conduct by inmate. Armstrong, from Hickory is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $18,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
