Hickory Man Charged With Attempted Murder

Michael Dwayne Jenkins, age 58 of Hickory was arrested on Thursday. He’s charged by Hickory Police with attempted first-degree murder, felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jenkins is being held without bond in the Catawba County Jail. A Newton court appearance is scheduled for today.
